Just before Christmas we had a very exciting visitor come in to our school. He was a mad scientist! He demonstrated all sorts of incredibly interesting and fascinating experiments about air and the gasses that air is made up from. One of the experiments involved trying to keep a balloon in the air using a garden leaf blower - it was all very exciting!

On Tuesday 17th December, the choir of St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Primary School were invited to sing at the Kingston Guildhall.
After enjoying refreshments with their parents, the children performed two carols in the Charter Gallery. This provided a welcome to Mayor Margaret Thomson and councillors as they arrived for a meeting. The children then performed two additional carols in the Councillors Chamber, to a huge round of applause.
Alexandra, a Year 6 pupil, said of the experience: "It was quite scary but I really enjoyed it because it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I really couldn't wait because seeing the mayor was such a great honour... She was really sweet and made me feel that I didn't need to worry and that I could perform well."
