A big thank you to all parents who have been contributing to the School Improvement Fund over the years.
So far we have raised: 18/19 - £1,660, 19/20 - £2,759, 20/21 - £2,712, 21/22 - £2,250, 22/23 - £2,542
St Joseph’s is a Voluntary Aided School. This gives us greater independence in running the school; however, it also means we have additional financial responsibility for capital spending (e.g. maintenance of buildings and grounds or upgrading ICT infrastructure).
We are very reliant on the generosity of parents to support the financing of these projects and the donation from parents is entirely voluntary. We are very grateful to receive all donations, however large or small. The Governing Body is aware that there are many pressing needs on family budgets. However, if there are not enough contributions the school will be unable to go ahead with many of its plans.
Your generosity allowed the school to prepare the grounds and plant a hedge alongside the juniors playground. This helps to create a barrier to increase security, and to reduce pollution in the playground.
Your contributions had also helped to further develop the school garden and a nature/nurture space for outdoor learning, upgrade the play equipment in the Nursery and Reception playgrounds, carry on with ICT improvements and organise a number of curriculum workshops, which are very much popular with our children.
Payment form titled School Improvement Fund 2023-24 is set up on ParentPay. A full amount can be paid in one transaction or in instalments. We would like to encourage you to set up a standing order of £5 a month (£60 a year), or any other amount that you could contribute. This can be done online or by visiting the local branch of your bank. If you choose this payment method please use your family name as a reference.
