Hello and Welcome to Year 1 Michael Rosen Class!

Home learning for school closure
Weekly home learning is set every Monday. Please see the relevant home learning document below for activities. Remember, at the bottom of the document is a list of suitable websites which contain further activities.

Parents - Please complete the learning report on a Friday making notes on the activities your child has completed and send the report to our class email: email@example.com. Please also use the email for any queries or comments you wish to make and, of course, I'd love to see any photos of your child's home learning.
For more details on our areas of study please see the medium term plan attached below.
The children will be given Home Learning every Friday which will normally consist of a Maths or English task. This could be to produce a poster on our current topic, play a game or complete an activity sheet. Home learning is due back the following Wednesday unless indicated otherwise. We also send home a list of key words every week that they need to be able to read and spell confidently - please help them with this.
All children have a reading book and reading record diary, that they take home and share with an adult. Please support their learning by hearing them read every day and sign their reading record once they have read.
Please ensure your child has their named PE kit in school ALL WEEK. Children are encouraged to bring in tracksuit bottoms or leggings for outside PE lessons, particularly during the colder months.
Our PE days for this term are now Tuesday and Friday.
If you are able to spare an hour or two to come into class to play Maths games, listen to readers, or even share a favourite story, it would be very much appreciated. Please see Mrs Sheehan if you are available, it does not need to be a weekly commitment.
