Learning from home

Please be ready to log in to Google Classroom each morning for your child's daily lessons. Here you will find all the instructions you will need for how your child can access the learning.

Your child should log in at 9am for a live morning register where I will let them know what lessons they will be completing that day.

It would be helpful if they have paper and a pencil ready. If you are unable to find these resources at home, please let me know via the Year 1 email address:

For further help on Google Classroom and how to access the live 'meet' register in the morning, please see the details below.

Parents' guide to Google Classroom

Healthy eating week - we checked on our vegetables that were planted in the last school year and we are keeping up with our daily mile.

Home Learning

The children will be given Home Learning every Friday which will normally consist of a Maths or English task, one of which will be on Google classroom.  This could be to produce a poster on our current topic, play a game or complete an activity sheet.  Home learning is due back the following Wednesday unless indicated otherwise. We also send home a list of key words every week that they need to be able to read and spell confidently - please help them with this.

Reading Books
All children will be given reading books and a reading record diary, that they take home and share with an adult. Please support their learning by hearing them read every day for at least 15 minutes and sign their reading record once they have read.

Please ensure your child wears their P.E. kit into school on their P.E. days. Children are encouraged to wear tracksuit bottoms or leggings for outside PE lessons, particularly during the colder months.

Our PE days for this term are now Tuesday (Indoor) and Friday (Outdoor).
