Attachment Aware Schools Award

We have received the Attachment Aware Schools Award. This means that all staff have had training in order to support children with issues around attachment and trauma. We are very proud of this award.

Gold Sports Award

The Sainsbury's School Games Mark is a Government led awards scheme which reward schools for their commitment to the development of PE, sport and competition across their school.

We have achieved Gold in 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19!

Primary Science Quality Mark

Primary Science Quality Awards are awarded to schools to celebrate a commitment to excellence in science teaching and learning. The Primary School Quality Mark scheme enables schools to work together to share good practice and is supported by professional development led by local experts.

Jane Turner, PSQM National Director said: “Gaining a Primary Science Quality Award is a significant achievement for a school. The profile and quality of science teaching and learning in each awarded school is very high. Children are engaging with great science both in and outside the classroom, developing positive attitudes towards science as well as secure science understanding and skills. Science subject leaders, their colleagues, head teachers, children, parents and governors should be very proud.”

St. Joseph's has achieved the Primary Science Quality Mark, which is valid through 2017-2020.

Healthy School Award

This is awarded to schools to recognise their achievements in supporting the health and wellbeing of their pupils.

Quality Mark
