Team SJP played their fourth cluster league match on Friday 10th March, having won their previous 3 home games they travelled to Burlington, New Malden in unfamiliar surroundings. The game started off very close with Christian Ronald & Decari Branker going close early on. It wasn't long until early SJP pressure payed off and Ronald made the breakthrough with a superb finish to cap off a great team move. SJP kept up the pressure and Burlington went close towards the end of the half with Gabriel Kadir being forced to make a great save. SJP took the advantage going into half time with the score at 1-0.
The 2nd half started in similar fashion to the 1st, but a lapse in concentration in defence gave Burlington a one on one chance which they finished comfortably. Having just conceded Mr Ford looked for a response from his team and Ronald was on hand to supply a superb individual run and finish. Burlington again equalised with a header from a corner. The game was finely poised at 2-2, it was Ronald again who completed his hat-trick with a tidy finish from the edge of the box. With the win in touching distance, Burlington never gave up and eventually managed to grab a very late equaliser to make the game an incredible 3-3.
Great game for the neutral not so good for Mr Ford's heart rate, team SJP remain unbeaten in the league and stay top by 1 point with 1 game to play.
