Ed Davey Visit 7.3.19
We were delighted to welcome Sir Ed Davey, MP for Kingston, to our school for World Book Day on 7th March. Ed arrived wearing his dressing gown as part of our whole school Pyjama dress up day and the children were able to guess his favourite children’s book as he visited some of the classes to see the activities taking place for World Book Day.
Ed Davey enjoyed a typical School Lunch (Pizza) with healthy fruit and vegetables with the children as well as joining our ‘Plogolution’ club to collect and recycle litter around our local area.
Staff and our Chair of Governors (Tom Morell) were able to discuss funding concerns for our school following the recent government's budget cuts for schools.
