Please see the final version of our Ofsted Report following their visit in July under Key Information tab.
As you know, this was an ungraded inspection, which means that the grade could not change on this occasion. We are very proud of the many positives it contains and found the inspector really took the time to get to know and understood our school very well. Some of the lovely phrases included are:
Pupils enjoy coming to school, they feel safe and attend regularly. They feel part of the school’s ‘close-knit’ community.
The school has high expectations for pupils and they achieve well at school.
Pupils behave well, they respond positively to the school’s rules and routines.
Leaders promote pupils’ spiritual development particularly well.
The school makes sure that pupils are taught an ambitious curriculum.
Teachers have strong subject knowledge.
Staff enjoy working at the school. They really appreciate how leaders help them to manage their workloads.
There always has to be an area for development - ours centres around refining our training for staff to ensure children are remembering subject content and can make connections in and across subjects in the longer term. We are already working with staff to help us to achieve that, but for us, the community we have at St Joseph’s and our happy, successful and inquisitive learners are our greatest accolade!
Thank you to all of our families for your support and encouragement, both during the inspection and all year round. We feel that the report really reflects our happy loving community at school and we are very proud of how well our staff team serve our children and families! Thank you!
